@switchingsoftware any idea on whether you will be recommending graphene os yet?
Hi again @blacklight447 π
I had a look at both videos and the project looks promising. Me personally, I'm uncomfortable with some comments in the tutorial like the "you're a noob" thing, so I really would prefer an official one.
I'm aware of this site, but well, it's a lot of text:
https://grapheneos.org/install
With only the videos on YouTube and no other visuals, I think it's hard to recommend it on our site π
If you disagree, maybe open an issue to discuss further: https://codeberg.org/swiso/website/issues
@switchingsoftware Firefox Send still uses Amazon hosting, in case that bothers people. Otherwise, there's stuff like magic-wormhole and that Tor sending thing that I forget the name of.
Hi @dheadshot π
you mean #OnionShare ? π Really looks like we could recommend this in combination with the Tor browser.
magic-wormhole seems to only work via command-line?
@switchingsoftware I think #OnionShare was what I was thinking of, yes, thank you. And yes, I think magic-wormhole may just be commandline, sorry if that's a problem.
@dheadshot it's no problem for advanced users π For our website, we prefer "beginner-friendly" solutions with a graphical user interface though.
I added OnionShare as a proposal to our issue, thanks!

Hey, sorry for necrobumping. But I thought I drop in here, to tell about #Lufi as another alternative to #FirefoxSend
There is https://drop.infini.fr as a public server for example.
@switchingsoftware holy cow! I was just looking for an alternative for google forms!
@switchingsoftware How about funkwhale.audio as a replacement to SoundCloud / Spotify, for hosting audio?
Hi @herrmann π
we have an open issue for a music list but aren't working on it yet π
@switchingsoftware Cool! I have added a comment there with the link, so that we don't forget it later.
@switchingsoftware
https://reel2bits.org/ light be an alternative, too
@herrmann
@switchingsoftware
Thanks for the hint to #LibreSpeed!! Was looking for something like that a long time.
